It’s Almost Here!!!
We are so excited to have you join us in Nashville, TN February 22nd - 27th 2025!
First, I want to personally thank all of you for choosing Foundation Hair Extensions and coming to my class. We know there are a lot of methods out there, we are honored you chose us! Teaching is a true joy in my life that feeds my soul! I appreciate you all making that possible for me!
Truly, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!
Here is my cell phone number in case you don’t already have it, 801.787.0378. Please save my number and if you run into any problems, please call me! Also, I will have two assistants helping me at this class to ensure everyone has plenty of one-on-one help. Lexie (My little sister, aka Lou) 801.616.9985 and Janae 435.592.4934, please save their numbers as well. About ONE WEEK prior to class I will be sending out a group text including everyone attending this retreat. Some of you will be flying in from other states and if any of you would like to meet up at the airport and share an Uber, Lyft, or taxi to the house, you can communicate via the group text. Riding together is a great option! It gives you the opportunity to meet each other on the way to class and saves you each some money. Please keep me informed on who is riding with who and when you will be arriving! Just so I know everyone is taken care of and safe! I like to keep track of all my people!
All FINAL invoices have been sent so MAKE SURE your payment terms are taken care of. You will not be allowed to attend if you're not paid in full or agreed & signed the financing terms. If you have any questions or are unsure about your payment status & terms please contact:
Jess @ 801.404.4950.
Here is all the information you need to be prepared for class: House Address:
3009 East Elk Drive
Sundance, Utah 84097
Check In:
February 22nd, 2025
Check in is at 5 pm. Not earlier! Please do not try to check in earlier than the scheduled check in time as this can create issues with the hosting company getting the property ready. Also, I need time to set up for class before everyone arrives. This is a bit like Christmas morning. So, please be respectful of the check in time. Our retreat is being held in a resort community so parking is limited. At this time we are only allowed 4 vehicles at the house. We are working with the hosting company to work out spots for other vehicles to park as close as possible so, please be aware if you're driving to the retreat your vehicle may or may not be at the house location. For those of you who are local to Utah and already know each other, ride sharing to this retreat would be greatly appreciated! We will send out more detailed instructions in the group text once we have worked through them to the best of our abilities.
Check Out:
February 27th, 2025
Check out is at 11am. Please make sure you check with us on the requirements of check out prior to leaving, as every house has different requirements. (Stripped bedding, garbage bagged, dishes in dishwasher, towels, etc.) We never know what is required until the night before check out. We want to be respectful of the property and their rules.
Food:
The night of arrival we always make a group trip to the grocery store or order groceries and have them delivered to the house, depending on the city we are in. So please don’t feel like you have to pack food if you don’t want to. We will get groceries once you arrive! We like to have breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and drinks at the house. You're welcome to store everything in the kitchen and the refrigerator(s). There are coffee pots available for our coffee drinkers. All I ask is that everyone be respectful of everyone else’s things! Please do not eat something or use something that isn’t yours without asking first! I encourage you to be very thoughtful about this. Everyone buys way more food than needed- which is better than running out- but throwing money away isn't fun either. Please be thoughtful about your meal planning.
Dinners:
We will be going out each night for dinners and hope that you will join us! This is a special part of class and for those that attend you get a lot more out of these dinners. I encourage you to join us. I make reservations in advance because we are such a large group. So please contact me if there is a night you are NOT planning on joining us. Otherwise, I will count you in every night. We may have some local alumni who will be coming to join us for dinner to meet you all as well! This is a part of what makes our culture so special. I’m excited for you to get to know them too! If you have a special diet, any food allergies, or issues with certain types of food PLEASE reach out to me and let me know as soon as possible!!! This way I can take that into consideration when finalizing our dining reservations. I am a foodie and love to eat! We try to pick reasonable but good restaurants! I will be including the list of restaurants and reservation information in the group text so you can check out the menus in advance.
Accommodations:
We will be staying in a gorgeous home in the mountain community of Sundance, Utah. While June is the start of summer in Utah, the evenings in the mountains can still be a little cool so a light jacket is recommended. The home does have a hot tub, so feel free to bring a swimsuit and enjoy! There is limited cell service in the area. Depending on who your carrier is, you most likely will NOT have service for the majority of the day. Please let your loved ones, co-workers or anyone else know so they don't panic when they can't immediately reach you! The property does have wifi and you will be able to connect and make calls over wifi when the time is appropriate.
Because this home is in a strict resort community, we will have to be mindful about noise, smoking, and vehicles. I will include more information about rules in the group text, but I want to make it very clear that I expect everyone to be respectful of these rules and the property. Please treat it as if it were your family's home. You will be responsible for any fees incurred at your expense. You agree to this by attending the class.
I try to avoid bunk rooms if I can, however with a group as large as ours it is usually impossible. Everyone will definitely have their own cozy bed, but everybody should plan on a roommate. To be honest, this is part of what we love about our retreats! The relationships and friendships that are built through staying together are amazing! It’s like a giant sleepover. Honestly, I have seen some of the most amazing lifelong friendships come from sharing a room at class! Our Alumni will frequently tell you that whoever stays in the bunk room walks away with the MOST from the class. This is absolutely true. I've witnessed it time and time again. This class provides a unique opportunity to make friends and network with fellow stylists across the nation. This is part of what makes our culture and community so unique and special!
Staying In Nashville:
A lot of our classes are held in Utah and we've learned a few things for those that are coming to visit us for the first time. First, if you are not from here and you are not used to being at higher altitudes for long periods of time - I recommend getting some altitude sickness medicine just in case. You can get it over the counter at most drug stores. Altitude sickness is rare, but it is a real thing. I would hate for you to not feel well while you are here. Second, Utah is known for its beautiful canyons and mountains. Some travel will be on winding roads. If you get carsick or motion sickness, I highly recommend getting BONINE (better than Dramamine and will not make you drowsy). It is also an over the counter medicine you can get at most drug stores and Amazon. Last but not least, allergies. Keep in mind that you may be affected by certain things here in Utah that will be in full bloom that you are not used to being around back home. I recommend bringing some allergy medication just in case.
Items You Need For Class:
Shears (only one pair needed)
Flat Iron
Any favorite clips you love. (you will get my favorites in your kit, but we all like different things. So, if you have favorites- please feel free to bring them.)
A Tripod (You MUST have a tripod for class! So please please please make sure that you have a good one!) Also, please make sure your tripod has rubber foot pads! Please call me with any questions.
Attending Alumni:
Please bring your ENTIRE KIT! You should already have everything that you need in the kit you received in your original class. So please make sure to bring it with you- including your mannequin and a tripod as well! Please make sure you have one! I will not be bringing any.
We are so excited you are coming!
